I love Phyrexia, they are my favorite villains in the MTG universe and one of my general favorite things in the game. I love this set, and it was tons of fun to play. Just don't kill yourself with phyrexian mana like I did in game one. Went 3-1, only loosing when I got mana screwed.

last MSS draft
Well, this is the last draft that I'll be doing in MSS, since New Phyrexia is next week. I think I went out with a bang though, drafted mono black jank infect. Saw a lot of removal and couldn't decide on a second color.

1 Magnetic Mine
1 Cystbearer
1 Neurok Invisomancer
2 Tainted Strike
1 Exsanguinate
1 Spine of Ish Sah
2 Instill infection
Probably my funniest draft ever. I wound up playing a very control type deck. The spine of Ish Sah and Instill Infections were in and out of the deck constantly. I would basically ping away all the myr I saw, kill all the other stuff, do my best to match my removal to their creatures. And then, once they've been stripped of fatties, I would win with a geared up plague stinger or black cleave goblin. Funnest play of the night was morbid plundering a Moriok Replica to draw more cards. Total of six cards over three turns or so, and that CA won me the game.
I honestly thought I was alone in black for a long time. I kept seeing grasps table and spread the sicknesses late into the pack. I saw a guy with a blue leaning blue/black deck who happened to be sitting two spots to my left, but I hardly noticed. Well, I should have noticed the creatures dry up. But I got caught up in some conversation in pack two and forgot to monitor my creature intake. If I had gone green and dedicated infect at this point, I would have done much better. Maybe I would have gone 4-0 instead of the 3-1 that I got. I'm always really timid about going infect though.
